SoHo is home to a lot of interesting stores. There's Kiosk for one, as well as that eyegasm of a Longchamp store. I thought I've seen it all until I chanced upon another SoHo wonder, The Phaidon Store.
I've passed this street so many times but I guess I never really noticed this particular store until they put this sign outside.
ANNDDD that was enough to send me running for the entrance. :)
All the bright books made me feel like I was in a candy shop.
Other people having their own taste of candy land.
The books I've seen here, I have never seen in any other book store.
And then I found out that the books here were published by Phaidon themselves. (duh =))
Like any other book haven, there are collectors editions
and signed titles
and of course that one book you want to leave with, if only it wasn't so darn expensive.
Phaidon Press is the world’s leading publisher of books on the visual arts, with offices in London, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona, Milan, New York and Tokyo, and distributors worldwide. It has had a long and fascinating history, as recorded by art historian Nigel Spivey for Phaidon's 75th anniversary in 1998.
PS. I bought a really cute watch today and I absolutely love it. <3
Time is gold! Now off to more adventures. :)
